I woke up the other morning to the startling realization that I no longer needed to find all the answers; and that, from here on out, my wandering could just be about experiencing all that Life was waiting to offer me.
There is a certain grace – an unearned gift from The Universe – to living life this way. And, as way of payment for this grace, I have started this blog. It is an altar, of sorts, where I will place my offerings of gratitude in the forms of poems and my thoughts.
I recently watched an interview with Thich Nhat Hanh where he said – loosely paraphrased here – that the purpose of life is first to transcend our own suffering, and then, if possible, to help others transcend theirs.
I do believe that we each have our own paths to follow in this life and that my path is, by necessity, different from yours. But sometimes, for a brief period of time, our paths may run alongside each other just long enough for us to offer comfort to each other in our journeys.
It is my dearest wish that this blog be that comfort. Or, if not, may it at least offer a little entertainment for you along the wandering road that is our shared human experience.
